Paraspectra is for visual artists who identify with, or feel connected to, sapphic and/or trans communities. Sapphic, in this context, includes lesbian, bisexual, queer, and more and trans includes trans masc, trans fem/me, non-binary, genderqueer, Two-Spirit, agender, and more.

We are absolutely not interested in policing identity or defining exactly who is or isn't "queer enough" to belong here. If these communities, identities, and the decentering of cishetero patriarchy resonate with you, and you create visual art of any kind, then this space is for you.

Anyone described above is welcome to our meetings, interested artists with commitment to the group are extended formal membership, and certain larger events will be velcome to the broader queer community and allies.
